A particular component of this project is the development of the Non Emergency Scheduling System (NESS) for South Australian Ambulance Service (SAAS). My role was to develop the web interface for this system which will be used in various hospitals throughout South Australia. The web interface allows hospitals to book non mergency ambulance transfers and have it interact with the core dispatch system used for the state. The interface also allows for hospitals to view their upcoming jobs for the days, as well as view any ambulances that are currently en-route to the facility. An added was feature was developed to also allow for hospitals to view an incoming emergency events that would be assigned to their facillity as they are entered in the 000 dispatch system, thus allowing them to prepare for the incoming patient.GIS - Provide ongoing support and development for various Geospatial customers and their relevant GIS applications. Short Term Researcher application – At Plantech my responsibilities were to maintain and enhance a general insurance quoting software package for ABSA Brokers (South African client). This software is a web-based package used in their Call Centre by about 100 staff. It would quote on several products for insurance such as Motor Vehicle, Building, All Risk, Watercraft, Motorcycle and House Contents. The system had to be optimized to quote on as many as 40 products within a few seconds.

This system is utilised for call related information that our agents would do, stock control, despatch control, billing etc… Our customer continually had changing needs of data from us so I was part of a group of people in charge for the maintenance and development of the system.Redevelopment of call management system – As the needs of our customers in the above-mentioned system, it was clear that a redevelopment was needed of our in house system. I was part of team that started the project going. The redevelopment utilises a multi tier application approach (GUI, Web Services, Business logic, Data Access). My responsibilities within this project were to provide business logic knowledge where applicable and assist with back end development of the system.Development of online courier management system – ACG had acquired a major contract to provide courier work for a major international IT support firm Australia wide. ACG currently has a courier division (Link Couriers) which services Victoria only. The rest of work was contracted out and hence a need came available for an online system where by the sub contractors could log and track jobs in one centralised place, as well as the customer keeping an eye on jobs Australia wide within one place (via a web interface).Development of mobile application for ACG (In house application) – In the type of industry ACG are exposed to there is a constant need for up to the minute data. ACG pursued a Mobile unit project where by sub contracting agent would be able to update status of jobs onsite and provide up to the minute data for our customers whilst they are actually onsite doing the job. I was responsible for the development of this project which is currently in piloting stage. Show less
