SciHealth produces Executive Scorecard software for health care enterprises. We have a browser-based presentation product (Insight) and a server based ETL product (Data Loader). One of the key market advantages of our products is that they are written so that the Key Performance Indicators can be configured and maintained by non-IT staff. I am responsible for all aspects of Research & Development, Quality Assurance and Customer Support, as well as the operation of our internal systems. I act as the Technical Leader and Application Architect for the R&D Team and manage the QA and Customer Support teams.This has been a very hands on position. Part of the position is leadership, both personal and technical, but part of the position is also to roll up your sleeves and get it done coding (java in this case). I wrote a translator that compiles VBScript expressions to SQL. The translator is the core of our ETL tool. I completely reengineered our web presentation architecture to properly separate model from rendering (XML DOM & XSLT). At the same time I revamped our rollout and support processes. Most recently we have introduced Web 2.0 features based on the YUI component library and planned the rollout of hosted (SaaS) offerings. SciHealth was acquired by Mediware in June of 2009.

The Atlanta Technology Office has 30 Staff and Contractors making up two teams: the Atlanta Development Center and the Software Research Center. Projects include:* SmartApp Next Generation: Laptop application used by 40,000 Aflac Sales Associates to accept and submit insurance applications from all 53 US States and Territories.* MetaForms: Saved 3500 development hours per product introduction* Aflac Anywhere: Pushes information about Aflac Business Events to Sales Associates in multiple media* Wellness on the Web: Aflac's first implementation of online claims* Management Reporting Solution: Complete revamping of marketing reporting system

Responsible for all aspects of business development and project management for software projects. Responsible for planning, budgeting, hiring, progress tracking and customer management. Acted as chief architect and technical lead, performed requirements analysis, system architecture, application design, database design, and coding when needed.

Designed Health Care Information System Enterprise Architecture integrating health care institutions and departments within those institutions. Led integration of acquisition products and development groups. Direct report to Executive Board on technical direction.
