Since my childhood, I have been inextricably connected with Asia - living and traveling there extensively. After graduating from college, I spent two years teaching English on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. There, I worked not only to further the abilities of my students in English, but also to promote cross-cultural understanding at a grass roots level. After returning to Colorado, I held the role of President in my local alumni chapter of the JET Program, where I continued to further US-Japan relations at the local level.Following this, I joined Inside Travel Group, where I spent several years doing client consulting, trip design, booking, and delivery of 'cultural adventures' to Japan. This led to a specialty in the B2B channel of the business - building our relationship with travel advisors, agencies, and travel companies across the North American travel industry. Over the pandemic, I moved into the marketing function, taking charge of the direction of our US B2B communications and materials both digital and physical, while maintaining our travel advisor relationships across the continent.Going forward, I aim to continue promoting understanding, experience, and relationship between the US, Japan, Asia and the international community.
