I performed cross-functional management and sales operations that covered the the entire life cycle of projects from conception to completion, including internal management of mixed-resource teams and external management of vendors and subcontractors. Located 120 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, Starvation is a 3,500 acre state park comprised primarily of Starvation Reservoir and the over 23 miles of shoreline designated for recreation and camping. As a Park Ranger Aide I was responsible for duties pursuant to the day-to-day management of park operations and maintenance. These duties varied widely depending on the season and current projects underway in the park and included:- Interaction with over 70,000 average annual park users, including collection of fees, providing assistance as needed, and supporting peace and fair-use of park facilities through the administration and enforcement of park rules- Management and maintenance of seven campgrounds and multiple day-use beach and OHV areas with a variety of facilities, including the use of heavy and specialized equipment - Management and maintenance of reservoir safety systems including ensuring active placement of underwater hazard communication devices and movement of boater facilites that changed with the reservoir depth; and enforcement of safety measures such as no-wake zones and boat ramp and dock restrictions - Accounting and reporting of daily and monthly park income, including handling large amounts of cash and having key responsibility for the accuracy of reports and security of deposits- Managing and completing special projects for improvement of park facilities, safety, and visitor enjoyment, such as: • Boat ramp expansion • Campground facility improvements • Park liaison for annual NGO organized activities like fishing tournaments • Facility, access, and safety improvements at other non-staffed Utah state reservoirs • Support the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources in fish management projects • Support the US Federal Wildlife in bird of prey management projects • Large scale removal of boating hazards
