John H. Snyder is a technology entrepreneur, trial lawyer, legal philosopher, data scientist, and inventor of next-generation Artificial Intelligence systems; he serves as Chairman and CEO of AGNES Intelligence (AGNES), the Artificial Intelligence firm based in Manhattan.Mr. Snyder founded AGNES in 2018 along with Mac Macartney and Alex Barton; his vision was to solve the world’s biggest and most urgent data problem, called the Tough Luck data problem: how do you predict structure and find “unknown-unknowns” within billions of unstructured data files? In February 2023, AGNES solved the Tough Luck data problem; releasing Version 1.0 of AGNES AI, the next-generation unsupervised Machine Learning data platform empowering the user to search, review, and make sense of unstructured data in real-time and at hyperscale. Upon the launch of AGNES AI, Mr. Snyder released a feature-length presentation entitled Welcome To AGNES – an in-depth analysis of AGNES technology; its historical, technical, social, epistimological, and philosophical foundations; and Mr. Snyder’s purpose in creating this powerful AI technology.In addition to his pioneering work in Artificial Intelligence, Mr. Snyder is an accomplished trial lawyer with over 20 years of courtroom experience. After graduating from law school, Mr. Snyder clerked for U.S. District Judge A. Richard Caputo in the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Following his clerkship, Mr. Snyder joined the litigation department of Proskauer Rose LLP where he practiced for seven years, handling a wide variety of high-stakes commercial disputes for Fortune 500 companies.In 2010, Mr. Snyder opened John H. Snyder PLLC (JHS), a boutique Midtown Manhattan law firm that initially focused on trial litigation and has since evolved to focus on matters relating to Artificial Intelligence, technology policy, cybersecurity and data science. In May 2023, John H. Snyder PLLC agreed to merge with 33 Agency LLC, a Washington, D.C. lobbying firm, expanding the firm’s capabilities in technology policy and government relations.Mr. Snyder earned his undergraduate degree from Brown University in 1999, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa; he received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2002.Snyder lives in Manhattan with his wife, Amy, and their daughter, Agnes.
