A five-week international impact-consulting experience that combined consulting projects with social entrepreneurs and responsible leadership training.Working with our field partner, the Goethe Institut, the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, we assessed the current needs of local entrepreneurs in underdeveloped communities, specifically in the creative economy space. Using information gathered by Goethe, community visits, interviews, and questionnaires, we created a SWAT analysis as well as a customer journey of our target audience, the local entrepreneurs. Additionally, we conducted market research into creative economies around the world with a specific emphasis on how to implement growth in creative spaces.As a result, we created a business skills learning plan for entrepreneurs setting out three different stages that covered business modeling, marketing, networking, sales, finance, and legal learning objectives.

Completed a pro bono consulting project for Kshitji, an organization that helps to employ disabled adults in Mumbai, India. Conducted a business analysis of the organization’s future needs and concluded the highest impact need was outside funding. As such, we created marketing material to focus on how the company can deliver value to prospective corporate donors. - Conducted audits for alternative investment entities such as private equity funds, hedge funds, and funds of funds, as well as for investment managers.- Applied financial expertise in the audit process, focusing on NAVs, management fees, waterfall calculations, capital allocations, capital calls, distributions, CLOs, term loans, and corporate bonds.- Served as a specialist in financial reporting standards for investment companies, ensuring all reports adhered to GAAP requirements.- Assessed internal controls related to financial reporting under SOX 404, including entity-level, manual, and application controls.

• Successfully led the planning, implementation, and completion phases of audit engagements for a number of non-public clients, which have included international banks and asset managers/advisors with assets under management of US$ 200+ billion. The work has included identifying financial statement risks related to market, credit, and liquidity disclosures. In addition, led teams in completing the valuation of investments, in both public and private equity, evaluating internal controls, and compliance with financial reporting regulation, such as International Financial Reporting Standards and US-GAAP.• While providing constructive feedback about internal control issues and financial disclosure requirements, developed business relationships with various levels management including heads of financial reporting, controllers, assistant controllers, and reporting managers. • Coordinated the interactions of a large group of colleges and client personnel from international locations including Canada, the Cayman Islands, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and the United States to successfully complete multi-stage projects with strict deadlines. These projects also included managing the work of managers, partners and staff by setting expectations, prioritizing work, and delivering timely updates to the team. •Worked with staff and associates daily to teach and mentor their knowledge and competence in the workplace, helping them to prioritize work and become self sufficient team members.
