A 2 year sojourn in Family Practice and teaching at Depauw University [Greencastle, IN] in the 70s morphed into establishing the first rural paramedic EMS service in Indiana, joining 5 friends to start the 1st Emergency Medicine Residency training program in Indiana [Methodist Hospital - now IU Health], to Commissioner of EMS for the State, consulting & lecturing on EMS-Trauma-EM nationally and internationally, and finally settling in Valparaiso, IN. Currently retired from EM, operating an Immediate Care Center and enjoying now 18 years of being the proprietor of the Inn at Aberdeen, Ltd., an 11-suite bed & breakfast and conference center hosting meeting, events and special dinners and luncheons with our own chefs.
