Overall Fuction:Work closely with the program technical staff and the rest of the program implementation team to support teams to effectively implement, document, and report Quality Improvement and Strategic Information activities within the program.

Responsible for all aspects of project data management including design and deployment of data collection/collation tools, compliance with reporting systems and timelines as set by MOH and CDC; design and support project evaluation activities, analyse data and develop data use products for the program. The job holder will be responsible for providing constant feedback to both the technical and program teams including health care workers in health facilities.

Duties included, Providing mentorship to facility staff on the appropriate use of HIV-related M&E tools, reporting to the MoH DHIS2 database and on use of nationally approved electronic patient-level databasesLead in the collection, aggregation and reporting of data,Conduct periodic data quality audits for data quality assurance.Working with facility teams to develop appropriate M&E workplans with objectives guided by both donor and MOH related workplansGuide facilities in monitoring CQI activities.Worked with NASCOP to develop the latest version of HIV tools . TOT for the same.

Achievements and responsibilities: Supporting the nutrition department to ensure that all data collected under the nutrition, WFP food distribution, social work and OVC programs are of high quality by conducting both routine and ad hoc quality assurance assessment.Data analysis for reporting purposes using Epi info, excel, MYSQL queries and SAS programming.Ensuring timely and quality reporting to donors USAID and WFP on monthly and quarterly basis.Assisted in the development and testing of tools and information systems for use in our daily data collection and ensure proper backups for use in surveys, research, patient care and decision making.Lead and monitor a team of data clerks to ensure proper and timely data entry into the Nutrition information system.put into place data validation protocols to ensure quality data in the nutrition information system and Openmrs.Worked with Purdue university team to develop the AMPATH nutrition information system.Worked with senior data management team and developed working protocols to monitor data entry and introduced Performance based incentives to reward high performers .
