Senior Embedded Software Engineer
CurrentProduct team: ADAS (Driver Assistance)• Project details: Senior Developer in MTA (Measurement Techniques and analysis) team that is a part of advanced driver assistance system (Domain Controller ECUs).• Modules handles: Development of a QNX OS resource manager for of a NVRAM file system that confirms to a POSIX interface with periodic synchronization, wear levelling management. The HW NVRAM is accessed over a PCIe interface. • Speeded up development and debugging by setting up a virtual machine with additional emulation components developed to facilitate complete development, debugging and test of all higher layer of the Virtual file system component without relying on hardware Product team: Airbags (passive safety)• Involved in full SW development life-cycle of safety critical real-time embedded system (ASIL-D class product) adhering to ISO 26262.• Involved in customer requirement reviews, analysis, UML based architecture design, High level design and implementation of embedded control units in automobiles (Airbag ECUs).• Modules handled: diagnostics, squib management, EDR (Event data recorder). • Worked on proof-of concept prototypes with advance new safety capability. Involving designing, developing, testing and integrating new system into prototype vehicle. • Extended and improved Perl based test framework used for requirements level testing. • Successfully adapt it for faster debugging and also improved overall quality and reduced turnaround time for module development.• Implemented scripts to enhance and improve automatic code/configuration generation, directly from requirement and specification documents using scripting languages like Perl and Python.• Drafted comprehensive reports to document bugs and design flaws.• Worked closely with OEM's to understand requirement specifications and system designs. • Performed regression and system-level testing to verify software quality and function before it's released.
