Experienced senior manager focused on development and capacity building in an organisation. Demonstrated success in some of the largest research initiatives in Australia., Including the establishment of the Australian Institute of Tropical Health and Medicine an $84m initiative. In four years, staff reached 80FTE, research income grew seven-fold and three specialised research buildings were completed. I led the start-up of the Research Development Team at the University of Newcastle, mentoring and leading 4 staff in the establishment of its outward facing research development team. My experience in building collaborations between the public and private sectors has led to many collaborative partnerships.
