I worked on the Data Science and Analytics team to develop analytical tools and machine intelligence capabilities for our ecosystem of commercial real estate products at CBRE.Product Analytics & Engineering: Created an end-to-end reporting pipeline using Jupyter Notebooks, Python, Metabase, Geckoboard, AWS, and other tools to deliver self-serving reports and dashboards for product metrics, user segmentation, feature analysis, NPS scores analysis, and other data visualizations.Natural Language Processing, Smart Notes and Tasks: Utilized scikit-learn, nltk, and SpaCy to create an NLP feature in our broker application that recognizes the content of notes and tasks (e.g., cold calls, follow-ups, team tasks allocation) and asks the user if they’d like to set a reminder or notification.Computer Vision, Floor Plan Extraction: Implemented a U-Net inspired, convolutional encoder-decoder to extract floor plans from thousands of real estate brochures. Used Keras, NumPy, scikit-image, SciPy, Tensorflow, h5py, and ImageMagick.Data Communications: Provided metrics, usage statistics, KPIs, valuations, and more for monthly stakeholder presentations, product pitches, team sprint planning meetings, advisory board meetings, and business case preparations to build and maintain 5 Scrum teams for our suite of 3 products.Data Education: Co-created a machine learning journal club to introduce ML topics to CBRE employees. Topics of discussion include: computer vision, NLP, data ethics, word embeddings, sentiment analysis, and more.

Operations: Led intrapreneurship tasks involved with creating and growing a product team (CBRE Build), including budgeting, securing funding, recruiting, hiring, and people operations. Over 3 years, grew the team from 2 to 41 individuals, with a focus on inclusivity and diversity. Aided in the acquisition of a sister company, Floored, which grew our team to 132 individuals as part of our CBRE Build brand and CBRE’s new Digital and Technology division.

After finishing an Advanced Software Development (JavaScript) program, I returned to the software development team at CBRE Build to aid with building out the CBRE product development team, business cases, documentation, and the ecosystem of modern, open-source commercial real estate products (Deal IQ broker app + Market Builder manager app + Hub client app).Outside of software development, I have contributed to:● Technical Recruiting, Hiring, People Operations, etc.● Business Case Development, Budgeting, Board Presentations, etc.● Team Development: Meetups, Sponsorships, etc.
