Elena is a Principal in Fifth Third Bank’s Private Equity Investments team focused on the Alternative Investments portfolio, which includes investments in private equity funds, SBICs, and direct co-investments. Responsibilities for the Private Equity Investments team include deal underwriting and due diligence, risk assessment, legal review and documentation, financial modeling, and portfolio monitoring. She joined Fifth Third (previously MB Financial) in 2015 where she completed the Leadership Development Program. Throughout the credit training program, she gained experience across traditional middle market, healthcare, and commercial real estate lending, as well as loan syndications, financial derivatives, and M&A advisory. Most recently, she was a senior analyst in Fifth Third’s Investment Banking Group, executing sell-side M&A transactions and advising the Bank’s middle market clients on strategic alternatives. She graduated cum laude from Knox College with a degree in Economics. She has also completed intensive coursework on business valuation and financial modeling through Training the Street and the Investment Banking Institute. She is FINRA licensed Series 79 and 63.
