Involved in defining and driving the New Protein Product Research portfolio for the Global Meat Industry, assisting Regional and Global Product line managers, liaising with the manufacturing plants to resolve concerns and optimize processes. Involved in production of supporting product positioning materials etc. In addition performed technical support roles for Key accounts in the meat, meat analogues and pet food arenas.Awarded the "Leadership and Commitment" award by the Protein Solutions Technology and Innovation team in early 2014 for my activities in the integration with Danisco and driving the innovation funnel. Led European Technical Applications team for Solae's Meat and Food (bars, beverages etc.) team in Europe with team members based in Denmark (including applications labs), Western Europe and Eastern Europe. Responsible for directing and tracking project activity, direct customer trials where necessary, involved in development of products worth over $8 million in revenue annually. Additional activities included employee, customer and distributor training and participating as a member of the European management leadership team.

Led the European applications team for the meat industry and was responsible for guiding strategy and activity within the region. Developed training programs for employees and distributors and where necessary directly serviced accounts in Eastern and Western Europe. Participated in the integration of Central Soy and DuPont Protein Technologies teams and the implementation of a new distributor strategy.

Responsible for US based team involved in the testing and development of new products and applications. Additionally serviced markets such as South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and China. Some key achievements were the launch of new products for whole muscle, driving process optimization in the mainline products and the development as part of a team (at times leading it) of a new process for the production of soy protein with our joint venture partner in China. For this last activity the team was awarded the DuPont Engineering Excellence Award for 2005.
