I co-founded Aussie Pie Guy after a trip to Australia where I fell in love with late night stops at the local pie shop!After spending about a year developing a business plan along with my partners, branding, marketing, financing etc. The City of Vancouver chose Aussie Pie Guy as it's #1 choice for the 2013 Street Food Program. Owning a small business is an all-encompassing role. I did everything from leading marketing and PR initiatives, event planning with other trucks, designing the wrap for the truck and of course filling gas and handing out pies! I actively worked on the truck until February 2014.

As Marketing Manager for Ledingham McAllister, I have the privilege of being a part of one of the most important decisions someone will make in their life - buying a home. This is a multi-faceted role which plays off my creative skill set including copywriting, interior design and budgeting.

Being Assistant Marketing Manager at Ledingham McAllister was my first foyer into real estate marketing, an industry that had always sparked my interest. In this position, I was constantly on the road going from project to project. I ensured all of LedMac's presentation centres and buildings were in pristine condition and that all sales staff were armoured with the best marketing material we could give them. I had the opportunity to work with the many hands that are in the pot when it comes to real estate development - from contractors, sales, interior design and more. Through strict personal organization and time management - and the idea that one should love ones job - I was able to prove my ambition at LedMac and was promoted within a year to Marketing Manager.

This position was split into two parts - corporate communications and product marketing management.On the communications side, I managed and created content for the corporate social media accounts communicating to a group of over 150,000 people. I also worked closely with a PR agency to create corporate messaging, branding and general PR tasks. I also spearheaded a rebranding and launch campaign of a music management software that had me working closely with the design and development team, which required high level communication with a team in China.

I continued to work in the nightlife industry with my position as Marketing & Promotions Coordinator for Granville Entertainment Group. In this role I was responsible for the marketing efforts for three properties - Doolin's Irish Pub, The Cellar Nightclub and The Comfort Inn Downtown Vancouver. This position was a mix of marketing and event planning, both which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was responsible for all social media for the three properties. As well as planning, organizing and executing both nightlife and corporate events.I left this position to pursue opening my own business.

As Marketing Assistant for clubZone, I led the email marketing, contests & sweepstakes and blogging initiatives. This included managing newsletter creation, send-out, assisting with design and database management for over 100,000 subscribers across North America. I started the contest & sweepstakes program at clubZone with just giving away a few free covers to some venues. I quickly grew interest in the program and eventually generated a contest that included a trip to New York for NYE and a meet and greet with Deadmau5. I have a passion for writing and encouraged clubZone to begin blogging more frequently, with me doing the majority of the stories that quickly gained readership. As well, I interviewed artists and DJs including Mother Mother and Far East Movement.

Although my title was Administrative Assistant, this role had a lot of management and leadership components to it. I was responsible for managing, processing and responding to all customer service inquiries for the company. I also trained and managed a temporary staff of over thirty people during the busy holiday season. From the beginning, I wanted to work in the marketing department so while I was in this role I often volunteered to take on marketing tasks which eventually led to a promotion to the marketing team.

I interned at Newad Vancouver as part of BCIT's Marketing Communications program. I was chosen as the Event Marketing Intern out of a large group of potential candidates. As Event Marketing Intern I assisted in research for high profile campaigns and worked as a promotional representative for them. I also put together a successful social cause campaign in the office to benefit Dress for Success Vancouver.

Before I graduated from BCIT, I wanted as much 'real world' experience as possible, so I sought out an internship at The Media Merchants in between my two years at school. I was able to do quite a bit in this role in a short period of time including developing pitches and proposals for potential clients and managing the company's social media accounts.
