I am accountable for the entire sales and profitability functions of five key vendor brands that Synnex NZ currently distributes for: WD, Asus, Netgear, Targus and Gigabyte.My ultimate responsibility is to operate these five major brands as “my own business within the business”, my key responsibilities are:Stock Procurement- Stock planning / strategic forecasting for all SKUs under my control to ensure constant stock availability while keeping inventory turnover ratios healthy- Working with vendors to ensure smooth deliveries and providing calculated estimation of arrival datesProduct Strategy / Market Analysis- Extensive market competitive analysis of all brands and products under my control- Working with vendors to ensure valuable information is exchanged so that all products are competitive in overall value- Setting up pricing strategy for all products to ensure maximum profitability while staying competitive in the market- Working with vendors strategically to create marketing promotions, with the goal in mind to create positive stimulation to the competitive marketCustomer Engagement / Account Management- Creating relationships and developing good rapport with all key customers in both Retail and Channel resellers- Day to day contact with category managers or procurement team of each key reseller in differing levels to ensure seamless execution of their goals- Constant dedication to customer relationships, resolving issues in a timely manner, providing suggestions and strategies with resellers to ensure our goals and interests are always alignedVendor Engagement- Facilitating vendor initiatives, either directly through Synnex or indirectly through vendor managed resellers- Regular meetings / conference calls for strategic discussions as well as information sharing- Helping the vendors to Communicate to the Synnex sales team regarding product knowledge, promotions, competitive analysis and SPIFs
