An extremely conscientious trainer, with wide-ranging pastoral experience and a track record in supporting people from diverse backgrounds. I am a Psychology graduate, former teacher (Head of Department) and PSHE and Charities co-ordinator, ex-Military, Public Relations professional (with a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing) and NSPCC volunteer (with children in the Looked After System). I have also worked for the charity NCH, and my role included respite care for children with disability. I am an ASIST suicide prevention trainer and volunteered with Papyrus. I am also well versed in supporting children and young people with a wide range of mental health issues. Highly competent communicator and committee chair - chaired and co-ordinated the National Assembly committee on smoking prevention initiatives and acted as a focus group facilitator for Government White Paper consultations. Now working as a training manager and course developer, in an area I am absolutely passionate about - suicide prevention and postvention (for those bereaved by suicide) - for an amazing organisation with wonderful people @GrassrootsSuicidePrevention.

  At Grassroots Suicide Prevention we offer standardised, tailored and bespoke training solutions for non-profit, private sector and statutory organisations of all sizes, to help them address suicide prevention/postvention as well as self-harm issues. Our nationwide courses are informed by research and by people with lived experience. Attendees tell us how valuable and practical they have found our courses to help them develop the confidence, resources and skills they need to support people who self-harm and/or have suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
