I've been designing and building radios since I was 12 years old. I started out my career at Motorola in Schaumberg Illinois. Moving to San Diego as a young single guy, I’ve worked for a number of companies that started up in the wireless business. With a degree in computer engineering and experience in RF engineering, RF power, and communication theory, my expertise has been in embedding computers in radios for various voice and data applications. Being a member of the 802.11A committee when Wi-Fi was first envisioned as a viable technology was very exciting. My experience with a number of small start-up wireless companied gave me and my business partner the confidence to start our own company SONIK in the 90s and then sold it off during the dot.com craze in 2000. I enjoy business, software, and RF engineering so much, I started Raveon in 2003 and have really have enjoyed growing it into a major player in the wireless data business. With a great team of production people, sales people, and engineers, and one of the most powerful and efficient IT systems, we continue to grow quickly. As my friends know, I’m an avid antique technology and radio collector. I have a little radio and technology museum at my home and continue to try to add items to it whenever I travel.
