Communication & LeadershipNicolas Johnson has worked around the world as a journalist specializing in finance, investing and capital markets, first in Europe and Asia with Bloomberg News, one of the world's most influential providers of real-time financial information, and then in Toronto with The Globe and Mail, Canada's leading business newspaper.Nicolas has managed multi-country teams producing Page One news for investors, decision makers and media worldwide. He has covered strategic corporate developments and financial transactions in most major industries and markets, and has interviewed top executives in business and government from around the world.In 2014, Nicolas ran as a candidate for election to Ontario's legislature. He led his campaign strategy, operations and communications, increasing the number of votes in his electoral district for the first time in three elections.Nicolas currently works as an independent communications consultant. He advises clients on public relations, reputation management and crisis communications. He writes and edits documents ranging from books, courses and investor brochures to white papers and other materials. He designs, develops and delivers workshops on effective presentations. And he runs a personal advocacy-journalism blog.Nicolas has degrees from Queen’s University in Canada and the Sorbonne in France. He also has studied environmental law and policy, and began his career at a non-profit environmental organization in eastern Europe.Nicolas grew up in Toronto, and is a native speaker of English and French.
