Data lead on the Casework Team for Shrewsbury Constituency’s Labour Party candidate, and subsequent MP, both prior and during the 2024 General Election with wider duties in the campaign: described as “instrumental” in the victory, data entry/processing tasks were completed at pace without error, working between multiple data sources,Main duties include:• Processing of voter data from Labour’s ‘Contact Creator’ and ‘Pathways’ databases to produce mailing lists for targeted letters: validating the data by comparing voting intention counts against polling projections, and reconciling lists by removing previous recipients.• High volume data entry: running Contact Creator queries to identify voters and subsequently extract their information into the Casework Team’s spreadsheet; logging new cases and previous-case updates in the spreadsheet, including summaries each constituent’s issues and requirements; inputting voter data into contact creator that has been acquired in Casework; marking voters as ‘letter sent’ in Pathways.• Undertaking email responses for pledge requests.Other activities include:• Weekly board running using the Doorstep app, co-leading canvassing sessions by managing the ‘door-knocking’ of a group of volunteers.• Co-running a Campaign Centre on Polling Day, assigning and briefing teams of volunteers to complete knock-ups or telling duties, as well as undertaking high-volume data entry of polling-IDs.• Researching to exhaustively identify and compare bulk SMS services by collecting key data points.• Triaging emails in the junk mailbox folder, sorting emails into folders.• Separating Pathways voters into spreadsheets by ward through the joining of Pathways data with Contact Creator data.
