As an English Co-teacher, I support the teachers of record by participating in lesson planning, grading, and data analysis as well as ensuring classroom management, in-class instruction, and student intervention. I ensure students receive proper accommodations and lessons that incorporate differentiated classroom materials. I have spent this semester in grades 9-11 English language arts classes. This semester we are teaching both in-person and virtual lessons simultaneously. This requires excellent classroom management skills, knowledge of technology, ability to multi-task, and ability to change directions quickly. One day per week, I conduct one-on-one or small group interventions with students who may be having trouble.
