As an independent consultant I was involved in working with (and strategizing with) senior management teams to assist them in supporting new initiatives to achieve their organization's goals. Varied clients included police services, nurse practitioners, a defense consulting firm, and physical therapists.I also volunteered with a global organization that provides 3D printed hands for children in need. Established Green Gables Winery from scratch. We planted 4000 vines and built a successful boutique winery south of Ottawa in the Ottawa Valley. This adventure was done in my "spare time" while working on Ottawa in management positions! The winery was sold in 2011 to the current owners who have done a wonderful/fantastic job of making the winery one of the best in the Ottawa Valley!

Oracle is a global software company with US$41 billion in revenue in 2021. I was a Senior Director and a member of a select North American team responsible for Oracle's growth strategy and strategic planning in support of their various business activities across Canada and the U.S. This included showing clients how they could leverage the use of innovative technology to their advantage. I directed the efforts of a team focused on developing strategies in support of Oracle's high-priority objectives.

I was responsible for Professional Services and IT Consultants in Canada and the U.S. Worked out of their Toronto and Ottawa offices before transferring to their global headquarters in Philadelphia. Sold, managed, and delivered major engagements e.g. a world-wide CRM (client relationship management) solution for Chrysler Corp. Led healthcare initiatives for the State of Hawaii and State of Florida including business intelligence solutions for their leadership teams. Sold and implemented an executive information system for Wells Fargo Bank headquartered in Des Moines.

Provided management consulting and training programs for a variety of clients including major insurance companies, retail companies, major banks, IT companies etc. This included seminars on presentation skills that helped people to overcome the fear of presenting and advance in their careers.Prior to starting Universal Training I started my career as a programmer and held a variety of IT roles with major organizations including both private and government agencies.
