Senior Technical Marketing Engineer for SnapCenter and Snap Creator.SnapCenter is NetApp's centralized data protection and copy data management product. I am the subject matter expert for SnapCenter and have worked over several years to help bring SnapCenter to market and to develop its capabilities over several releases. SnapCenter consists of a server or servers capable of high availability, load balancing, and horizontal scaling. It also consists of Plug-ins for applications, databases, hypervisors, and host operating systems. This role requires working with all levels of engineering, QA, and management as well as interfacing with partners and customers to determine their needs and drive change into the PRD. To create an easy to use product I'm focused on simplicity and usability and will continue to drive changes to the product.Plug-ins supported or considered includes Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, DB2, Windows File Systems, Network File Systems, SAP HANA, MongoDB, and Exchange.Snap Creator is a software framework developed by NetApp to handle backup and recovery of physical, virtual, and/or cloud environments. Snap Creator contains plugins for a variety of popular hypervisors, applications, and databases and handles application/database consistent backup, recovery and cloning. In this role I also act as the Technical Marketing Engineer for the Snap Creator Framework.
