About John S.
I am an academically trained computer scientist, which gives me a broad and abstract knowledge over fundamental programming processes. I learn and adapt to new programming languages very quickly, though my primary focus is C++. I have a background and love for game design. My positions in the game industry have often blurred the line between programming and design and I would like to continue to skate the gray edge. I have a deep love and vast knowledge of video games. I believe my experiences have given me a strong understanding of what makes games fun and strive to apply that knowledge to my work.More than anything, I just want to make games that are fun, and if they're not fun yet, to get them to that point. I want to make games that everyone wants to play.Specialties: I have more than five years of professional C++ coding and some experience with Lua and Python scripting and any number of proprietary scripting languages.I specialize in gameplay (mission, player package, enemy, boss, gameplay feature) programming and design. Most of my work has been done in Visual Studios of various iterations. I have experience with the Xbox 360 Devkit, PS3 devkit, Nintendo DS devkit and I have worked on multiple PC titles under a variety of engines.
Listed skills include Xbox 360, Gameplay, Ps3, Game Development, and 8 others.
