I have an analytical mind and tend to spend a lot of time pursuing my intellectual interests. I possess a great deal of knowledge and expertise in particular areas of study, specifically accounting. I automatically detach from emotions, so I am highly skilled at performing rational, objective analyses of issues or situations. This habit also makes me calm in a crisis. I appreciate the importance of boundaries in relationships, and therefore value and respect others’ boundaries. While I typically don’t have a large quantity of close friends, I make a high-quality, loyal, and trustworthy friend to the people with whom I do form relationships. Naturally austere and laconic, I am minimalistic and economical in the things I do, which reflects my concern with making the most of what resources I have and an ability to get by on limited supplies. I enjoy pondering and asking questions, contemplating the reasons why things are the way they are. People like me derive joy and energy from thoughtfully observing the environment around them and wondering whether there might be a different or better way. Compared to other traits, this one is not the most observable, because it is a mostly internal process. However, almost every new initiative, program, or project begins because someone wonders. The benefits of this include asking big questions, prompting people to consider assumptions that may need to be questioned, and challenging the status quo. I also believe in answering the call to action and seamlessly providing others with the unconditional support and assistance they need. People with this belief get energy and joy from providing others with the support they need to get something started, and by providing the human glue required to hold it together. Even though people like this are often ideal team members, they sometimes discount the important role they play, mistakenly believing that they are simply amenable or “nice.” The benefits of this include higher morale and greater interpersonal appreciation and support.
