▫ Led the Engineers and Maintenance personnel in support of 24 hr high volume state of the art oil filtration manufacturing. ▫ Responsible for maximizing plant effectiveness, continuously improving uptime, developing balanced production lines, equipment design, upgrades and replacement, and developing the annual capital operating plan. ▫ Assumed additional Quality Manager role 2007-2011. Combined department headcount was reduced by 66% while maintaining all key metrics, ISO and OE certifications, and customer satisfaction. Excelled through this reduction by driving lean culture and automating administrative activities. ▫ External returns reduced from 77 to 1.8 PPM. Recognized Honeywell CPG ‘top 3 Quality sites US’ 2009 & 2010.▫ Led Engineering and Quality portions of the Honeywell Operating System lean journey from baseline through recognition as first Honeywell U.S. ‘Bronze’ certified site. ▫ Leader for Lean activities Built in Quality, 4M change management , A3 accountability, Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM), kaizen events, and SMED changeover reduction. ▫ Achievements included reducing internal defects from 53K to 19K PPM and increased OEE 75% to 82%▫ Achieved overall $14.15M savings from $6.6M capital spend Senior Automation Engineer (2002 to 2006)▫ Project manager, designer, and integrator for capital projects. ▫ Responsible for identifying chronic production issues and investigating, justifying and implementing solutions. ▫ Projects included energy consumption, ergonomics reduction, increasing throughput, enhanced inspection, error proofing, and new equipment design. ▫ Highlights include the installation of robot cells to eliminate hand racking of parts, saving $650K/yr and an automated cartridge storage system which saved $425k/yr.

Senior Project Engineer▫ Responsible for all electrical content of magazine bindery systems. ▫ Leader of the Pacesetter 1000 redesign team which generated $2.5 million per year in savings. Increased functionality and customer satisfaction through use of innovative standardized modules, creating the template for Heidelberg’s next generation of machinery. ▫ Represented company as CE (Conformity European) Coordinator. Researched and interpreted directives and standards for European Conformity. ▫ Coordinated design activities between Dayton, England, and third party equipment suppliers. Provided training and guidance to US design and assembly teams. ▫ Achieved 100% conformance for CE regulatory issues on internationally shipped machinery during this period.
