John graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and has been working at Stiver Engineering on a wide range of projects since joining the firm in 2005. He is both a Licensed Civil and Structural Professional Engineer, and is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Houston Contractors Association, the Underground Construction Technology Association, the Associated General Contractors of America, the American Concrete Institute, the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, the National Utility Contractors Association and the Foundation Performance Association.John Stiver was elected to the Secretary Position on the Executive Board at Houston Contractors Association and will serve on the Executive Board for 2024 and 2025.
