New graduate from West Coast University's accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Registered Nursing program with extensive knowledge in acute care, pharmacology, and patient satisfaction. Currently employed by Prime Healthcare at St. Francis Medical Center's intensive care unit department as a registered nurse.My introduction to healthcare began at CVS Health as a pharmacy technician (TCH187734) where I served members of my community. Making a difference in the lives of my next door neighbors, friends, and family inspired me to take the next step and continue my education towards providing direct patient care.I enrolled into West Coast University in November 2021 and was exposed to diverse medical fields. The time I spent in my clinical rotations at Torrance Memorial Medical Center in the neonatal intensive care unit; UCI Medical Center in the neurological, surgical, burn, cardiovascular intensive care units, and the emergency unit; and St. Francis Medical Center in the general intensive care unit and emergency department is where I discovered my passion for critical care nursing.My experiences at West Coast University allowed me to acquire many licenses and certifications such as basic life support (245411541228), advanced cardiovascular life support (235407898049), hospital fire and life safety (61df81d072cfd110807e957d), and the national institutes of health stroke scale (N704-4307511).Upon graduating in January 2024, I immediately passed my NCLEX the following month and obtained my registered nurse (95368727) and public health nurse (567953) licenses. In February 2024, I was offered a position at St. Francis Medical Center in the intensive care unit department and started April 2024.Being a registered nurse at St. Francis Medical Center has yielded an environment that promotes learning and honing of my nursing knowledge and skill set. I plan to continue my education in the near future with acute care playing a major role in my studies.
