I led the due diligence process that resulted in the acquisition of the company by a division of TELUS Inc. in March 2020 and the subsequent post acquisition integration of Muddy Boots and nine other acquired companies in the US and Canada to form TELUS Agriculture and Consumer Goods.As TELUS Ag evolved into a more unified structure, I became the finance prime for the Technology business units. This was a high profile role, partnering with three VPs responsible for Engineering, Infrastructure and Product, reporting to the CFO. These divisions have some 550 employees, 150 contractors and an annual cost of US$100m. In addition to the regular cycle of financial reporting, forecasting and analysis, I worked with each of the three VPs and their leadership teams to effect structural change in their divisions, identify and manage capital software development projects and establish company-wide business processes to improve management oversight and performance. Together with colleagues in the Finance team, we implemented HRIS and ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA) and, working alongside colleagues in HR and legal, I was also closely involved in the rationalisation of the legacy legal entities in the UK, Australia, South Africa and Hong Kong.
