Working with industries, stakeholders and communities to advocate and provide advice to government on barriers and strategies for job and economic development opportunities flowing from Queensland’s renewable energy transition.

INTERACT Policy and Industry Solutions Pty Ltd is an industry and policy consultancy that supports greater collaboration between critical industry sectors and government bodies. It works with peak organisations on public policy and representation, and with government and other bodies on policy reviews and their efforts to engage and relate with stakeholders and understand key supply chains for the economy. Recent clients include Manufacturing Skills Queensland, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (Review of Course Accreditation), The Hatchery (design and delivery of Effective Public Policy course) and Jobs Queensland.

CCAA is the peak national body for Australia's heavy construction materials industry. I led the Queensland branch of the organisation, which included working closely with senior industry and government representatives on policy issues, overseeing and providing financial and strategic oversight of association projects, training activities, government relations, member engagement, advocacy and industry support. I also managed a number of national activities on behalf of the organisation, including national public policy development initiatives for the extractive industry, industry conferences, diversity and inclusion strategies and safety, health and sustainability initiatives. Key policy areas included planning and environment policy, freight issues, infrastructure, economic policy and health and safety.

The Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) is the peak industry association representing companies in the manufacturing, construction, transport and related services industries in Australia. My role in the organisation involved managing industry advocacy activities for Ai Group in Queensland, including government relations, government-funded projects, research and economic analysis and policy development activities. This included the development of a number of significant policy advocacy submissions, industry surveys and media relations.

Managed the Authority's policy coordination, communications and committee secretariat support activities. Managed a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering these initiatives. Organised stakeholder engagement activities.

Managed a multi-disciplinary team responsible for implementing a range of projects to reform the Victorian skills development and training system.

Managed a series of significant communication strategies for Westminister City Council in central London in the areas of congestion charging, planning and urban amenity.

Provided political and policy advice to Minister for Families, Youth and Community Care (Hon Anna Bligh MP) on a range of portfolio areas in human services, child care, youth affairs and juvenile justice. Engagement and negotiation with stakeholders, senior government officials, Members of Parliament and other ministerial offices.

Undertook a range of labour market and industry analysis projects and research in relation to the national reform of Australia's vocational education and training system.

Undertook research and analysis and managed a range of projects in the areas of public health, rehabilitation programs and child care for the Federal Government Department.
