Edwards Wildman was an AmLaw 100 firm that is now known as Locke Lorde. I was a member of the litigation and labor & employment practice groups and represented clients in state and federal courts in employment related matters, including discrimination complaints and non-compete litigation. While at Edwards Wildman, I often drafted and negotiated executive employment agreements, consulting agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements, including confidentiality, non-solicitation and non-competition agreements. I also assisted clients with general commercial litigation matters and intellectual property litigation.While at Edwards Wildman, I negotiated a number of very favorable resolutions for my clients. However, in those instances where a favorable resolution was not possible, I successfully advised clients to move for summary judgment, obtaining favorable decisions that were upheld at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

I started my legal career with Updike, Kelly & Spellacy, first as a summer associate and then as a full time associate. I was exposed to a number of practice areas while working at UK&S, including employment litigation and counseling, commercial litigation and professional defense litigation. My time with UK&S also enabled me to develop my skills in the courtroom. Not only did I learn to argue motions in both state and federal court, I picked a number of juries and tried a number of cases to conclusion. I also learned the value of mediation, i.e. utilizing an independent third party to negotiate a resolution.
