CurrentJohn has worked in the Local Sports Partnership Network since 2001,where he was appointed as one of the first 8 nationally. In 2007 he was appointed to the role in County Clare LSP where, as CEO, he has built a highly successful organisation. As CEO, John has overall accountability, responsibility, and authority for management of the business and affairs of the organisation under the guidance of the Board of Directors whilst assuring compliance with regulatory and governance requirements. 1. Strategy and Operations Management (inc. To lead and develop Local Sports Partnership Strategy to promote and increase participation and opportunities in sport and physical activity across communities and provide inclusive, impactful and sustainable opportunities tailored to local needs).2. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement (inc. Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with key stakeholders, relevant agencies, local authorities, key decision makers and other stakeholders generally, to ensure that the organisation is providing an appropriate range and quality of services.). 3. HR Management (inc. Through sound leadership ensure the recruitment, development and retention of a highly capable management and/or support teams and to develop and manage a high performance culture optimising the potential of all employees and volunteers to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the wider organisation). 4. Corporate Governance (inc. Ensure that the operations of the organisation are conducted in accordance with ethical governance, current legislation and financial regulations). 5. Financial Management (inc. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the organisation's financial information, reporting and disclosure requirements, internal controls, adherence to the organisation`s Code of Conduct and other compliance requirements such as the Governance Code for Sport and the highest level of ethical behaviour at all levels of the organisation).
