With a background in mortgage banking (including origination, underwriting fundamentals and loan closings) as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO), the Subprime Mortgage crisis of 2007-2008 was the perfect challenge to inspire my partners and I to create an organization that primarily invested in Non-performing Mortgages (and eventually commercial real estate). And not only that but doing so while helping stabilize communities and helping investors build wealth in an asset class normally reserved for Wall Street.As the Chief Asset Officer, I am tasked with overseeing our business' verticals - Non-Performing Loans, Multi-Family/Commercial Real Estate, REO, and Short-Term Business Loans. My responsibility is to oversee all of the company’s investment management and deployment capabilities. I'm tasked to optimizing PPR's investment strategies across these areas, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and driving enhanced returns for the company and its stakeholders.When I'm not at the office, you might be able to find me in one of a variety of different places or fine-tuning my harmonica/guitar playing skills! I once auditioned for and got to play harmonica with Grammy nominated artist Steve Forbert. I've been to Oktoberfest in Germany, attended the Commonwealth Games when they were in Scotland, rode bikes on The Ring of Kerry in Ireland, attended the Folies Bergere in Paris, toured the Amalfi Coast of Italy. I've been to the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema in Rio de Janiero, Brazil among other places. I'm scheduled to get to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini, Greece soon then I'm off to Iceland in late 2023. I'm thinking about climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in 2024 but that remains to be seen.
