When I was young I was drawn to many outdoor activities. To support these interests, I always wanted the BEST equipment. It could be a surfboard, motorcycle, snow skis it did not matter I wanted the latest and greatest. At 9 years old it became apparent that I needed to make some extra $$. I started by delivering newspapers, but as I continued to age my financial needs grew. At 12 years old, I answered an ad in the newspaper to sell flowers on the street corner during the Christmas Holidays to include both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. My parents eventually supported my determination to take the job. What I learned in that time helped shape my future. The bouquets that I was given were not selling as well as anticipated. So I experimented, I eventually took three bouquets that would have sold for $5 each and combined them to two larger bouquets for $10 each. Now I only had to pay for the overall number of flowers I was given, not the amount of bouquets. My $10 bouquets were a HIT and I increased my take home $$. I still remember proudly walking into the surf shop and picking out my NEW board. I have held a variety of positions in my career; all with the same underlying emphasis TO INCREASE business. As a result, whether I am working with a small company or a global leader, I have a unique ability to identify potential, create opportunity and deliver profitable growth. --I have been facing challenges head on with proven results. --I strive to better my professional and consultative approach to sales. --I run towards fires. --I don't care who gets credit, as long as the team wins. --Execution is what matters, and I do execution.
