  Since being admitted as a Solicitor in November 1978, John has practised predominantly in the areas of Business & Commercial Law, Property Law, and Conveyancing (both commercial and residential properties) as well as Commercial Loan Securities/Mortgages, and residential mortgages/securities. In 1994, John undertook further studies and examinations to qualify as one of the first lawyers to become a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Property Law. He has extensive experience in large commercial property transactions and business sales & purchases (including share sales/purchases), as well as in commercial leases & Retail Leases Act leases, and business structures (including Trusts, Companies and Partnerships), plus in large mortgage/commercial securities transactions as a result of having over the years acted for property developers and large mortgagees such as Citibank, BankWest, Suncorp-Metway Ltd, AGC Limited and Beneficial Finance Corporation. John also has extensive experience in residential mortgage transactions, and has previously acted for a number of mortgagees including Newcastle Permanent Building Society Limited, Wizard Home Loans Pty Limited, and AFIG Wholesale P/L.John also has a keen interest in and practises in Estate Planning (including tax effective Wills and associated documents, such as Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardian appointments).John was a Partner in Turnbull Hill Lawyers for 37 years from July 1980 to the end of June 2017, when he retired from the partnership.
