I am a consultant, working since 2012 as a Color Scientist and Applied Mathematician. As of January 2020, I am an Adjunct professor of color science at Clemson University.I have been doing research in color theory, printing, and imaging since 1992. I have been awarded 29 US patents. Author of over 50 technical papers. Expert on CGATS, Idealliance Print Properties, ISO TC-130, and ASTM E12 standards committees. Board member of Technical Association for the Graphic Arts (TAGA) after serving two terms as Vice President of Papers. Board member Inter-Society Color Council. Blogger with over 100K visits of 175 blog posts.I have taught a very popular color theory class at least 50 times and on three continents. My sixth keynote address was at the Munsell conference in Boston in June 2018.Prior to my consulting, I was an applied researcher for QuadTech. Before that, I worked as a scientific programmer in medical imaging, satellite imagery, electron microscopy, and spectroscopy. I had a hobby job as a karaoke host, going under the name "John the Revelator", and before that my hobby job was teaching remedial math at a local university.
