Royal Saudi Air Force Electronic Warfare School, San Antonio, TX

Currently employed as a contractor supporting NAWCWD's Marine Corps Spectrum Integration Lab (MCSIL) at Pt Mugu, CA. Assisting MCSIL team on future development on Marine Corps Electro Magnetic Spectrum Operations and integration of EW payloads aboard unmanned systems.

Provided strategic and operational leadership to 230-member Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron (VMU-3) flying intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.HIGHLIGHTS:Cut transportation costs 66% and improved mobility of unmanned aircraft systems by leading a team in experimental modifications, resulting in unprecedented separation of system from vehicles and adoption of new design by all squadrons.Contributed to the Marine Corps roadmap for future unmanned system.Initiated a new program to develop junior managers with leadership and teambuilding skills, resulting in first-term employee retention rate improving from 12.5% to 100%.

Second in command of 230-member Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron (VMU-3) flying intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Primary duties were leading, coordinating and organizing principle staff in addition to supervising flight operation of unmanned aerial vehicles.HIGHLIGHTS:Led successful squadron preparation for two major comprehensive inspections.Coordinated acceptance and initial flight operations for the Marine Corps' first RQ-12 unmanned aircraft system.

Diplomatic post as senior US military representative. Strengthened bilateral relationship between the US and Republic of Georgia as a trusted advisor to the senior military and diplomatic leadership of both nations. Analyzed political, military, and social environments to influence strategic planning in the region.HIGHLIGHTS:Led a highly successful partnership with Georgian Deputy Minister of Defense on the training, equipping, and deployment of Georgian infantry battalions for counter insurgency operations in Afghanistan.Delivered insightful reports on regional issues, some of which were selected for briefings to top-level US defense and military leaders.

As Assistant G-1 for for the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, I managed day-to-day functions of a human resources department for a 15,000-person organization.HIGHLIGHTS:Reduced chronic shortage of high-demand staff by devising new data mining methodology for finding required personnel. Decreased unfilled positions from 10%+ to 1%, and increased average lead time from 6 weeks to 6 months to fill 300+ rotating positions in Iraq and Afghanistan.Created a tracking system to effectivley manage Forward Air Controller personnel requirements.Improved the morale and productivity of a beleaguered HR team overwhelmed by constantly evolving staffing requirements and tight lead times by organizing meetings to facilitate dialog and understanding.

Led operations and training for Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron – 1. As Mission Commander, led multi-aircraft combat flights in Iraq. HIGHLIGHTS:Organized and conducted an aggressive year-long training program that transformed staff into a highly skilled and prepared unit.Improved support to combat ground forces and eliminated wasted flight hours by streamlining aircraft integration.

1-year capstone event. Succeeded in a challenging environment by swiftly gaining knowledge of Russian language, culture, and bilateral issues. HIGHLIGHTS:Secured productive relationships with officials from Russia and other European countries through one-on-one communications and engaging outreach skills.Improved personal effectiveness and regional knowledge by organizing orientation trips to Bosia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.Initiated and launched an electronic manual outlining all aspects of Foreign Area Officer living and working requirements in Moscow.

Second year of Foreign Area Officer (FAO) training consisting of an intense 12-month immersion language program.

Conducted internal and external coordination of aviation assets for 3,000-person organization to include operational planning and close work with host nation and diplomatic entities throughout the Mediterranean region.HIGHLIGHTS:Successfully coordinated airspace use for large military exercises in France, Italy, Croatia, and Tunisia.On short notice coordinated Morocco airspace authorization for the repatriation of personnel rescued at sea.Initiated and supervised a program to capitalize on resident NATO professional military schools, allowing personnel to attend previously untapped educational resouces.

EA-6B Prowler crewmember planning and conducting tactical airborne electronic warfare missions.HIGHLIGHTS:Participated in two 6-month deployments to Turkey flying missions over Iraq in support of no-fly zones, and a deployment to Italy flying combat operations over Serbia and Kosovo.Led department responsible for repairs and maintenance of flight equipment, ejection seats, airframes, and hydraulic systems.

EARLY MARINE CORPS CAREER: held positions including Naval Flight Officer, Electronic Countermeasures Officer (ECMO), Artillery and Naval Gunfire Spotter, and Recruiter.
