Over the course of a few months, I was completed two separate contracts of work for Hometown-Consulting, LLC, which were comprised of: 1) Performing comparative analysis on medical transcriptions produced through Speech-to-Text services provided by Amazon Medical Transcribe, Google Cloud Speech-To-Text, and DeepGram to determine which platform offers the highest quality medical transcription in regards to cost, speed of transcription, and accuracy.2) Developing a full-stack web application that enables real-time accurate transcription of a medical dictation through HIPAA-compliant generative AI, automatic reformatting of said transcription into a human-readable report, and then inserting that data into an electronic health record (EHR) database - all in the span of a minute or two.* My responsibilities included: - Prompt engineering to ensure that the HIPAA-compliant generative AI service used (CompliantChatGPT) consistently converts raw, unstructured data into human-readable medical reports. - Building out a real-time transcription demo provided by DeepGram into a more sophisticated and error-resistant application - Integrate APIs provided by DeepGram, CompliantChatGPT, and Better.care to ensure data seamlessly travels where it needs to. - Designing and developing the UI for the application - Utilized a query language specific to the Better.care platform (Archetypal Query Language / AQL ) to both build out the structure of the EHR database, as well as automate the insertion of data into said database. - Tech stack: React, Express.js, Node.js, AQL, DeepGram's real-time transcription demo, Better.care for EHR databases, and CompliantChatGPT for HIPAA-compliant report formatting.

Shortly after leaving my job at Marcus Autism Center, I decided to try my hand at live-streaming on Twitch.tv. After gaining some short-term success, and after a family accident left me wanting to remain close to home, I decided to pursue live-streaming full-time. I streamed typically 6-8 hours a day from Monday through Friday, and the occupation was very rewarding due to how many skills I had to cultivate in a short amount of time. I gained proficiency in working with video production and editing, audio mixing, and understanding the wants of my audience. Additionally, I was able to gain experience in managing my own social media presence, as well as building and sustaining a community from the ground up. Ultimately, the instability in income as well as feeling of professional stagnation led me to pursue other fields and end my streaming career.
