I enjoy assisting nonprofits with strategies to maximize their private support through philanthropy. Determining the right steps and their sequence for each organization leads to their success in fundraising.As a fundraising consultant, I work with colleges, universities, social service organizations, arts organizations, hospitals and churches. JGA serves clients across the country by providing campaign feasibility studies, campaign planning, post-campaign evaluations, data analysis, development / fundraising plans, and strategic planning facilitation. I began my career in the nonprofit sector as a planned giving officer for the Indiana University Foundation as the Foundation was growing the team to support campaigns for IU Bloomington and IUPUI. I later led the Foundation's Gift Planning for a decade, during which our team partnered with fundraisers across all campuses of IU to formally document more than 1,000 new planned gift expectancies (which had been the goal for our team in the Foundation's 10-year strategic plan).As Associate Vice President of Individual Giving at the IU Foundation, I led a team of more than 25 frontline fundraisers located in Bloomington, Indianapolis and Chicago offices of the Foundation. This team included central development positions (gift planning, regional development, women's philanthropy, 50th reunion giving, parent and family giving, and the Chicago Advancement office) as well as select school-based major gift officers.
