John has now relinquished the post of Non Executive Director with Supacat Limited, now SC Group, which he took up on retiring in March 2014. He remains a non executive director of Proteum LTD in Hamble. His final active role in the Group was a new part time post as Director Special Projects which he started at the end of March 2013 after 10 years with Supacat in a variety of roles. Most recently he was Marine and Renewables Director and was responsible for setting up the department. In his new appointment he will retain a role within the marine side of the business and provide support to the business generally. John has a wide range of experience in Supacat having operated variously as Commercial Manager, Project Manager, Support Director and as Marine and Renewables Director.He has over 10 years of commercial experience in the Oil Industry, particularly with fuel pricing analysis, retail fuel charge cards and retail fuel outlet databases, as well as logistics management.John served for over 20 years in the British Army, with the core discipline of transportation. A graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Army Staff College, he has a wide knowledge of military procurement having been an operational requirements staff officer in the Ministry of Defence and a Directing Staff at the Royal Military College of Science (specialising in Nuclear and Chemical Defence as well as management studies). John retired from the Army in 1989 after commanding an armoured division transport regiment in Germany.
