John Tuerk is an expert in power electronics with more than 20 years of experience in building power solutions for markets such as electric vehicles, NEV, AGV, and Motive Power. As founder of Blue Heron Systems, which delivers micro point of use power solutions, John leads business development and product strategy to deliver cleantech micro-power, point of use systems for applications such as Street Lights and security systems.

Responsible for >70% of company's revenue, in excess of $23 million in sales. Scope of work included product management, client management, market development, and service support/training. Partnerships included Saft, GNB, Exide, and Trojan Battery. Applications included Neighborhood Electric Vehicles, (NEV), Golf Cart, Fork Lift, Pallet Trucks, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), GM's EV1, etc.

Key account and sales management for all Saft products including UPS, Chargers and advanced industrial batteries.

Established a new sales territory in SW Ontario. Developed and delivered Power Quality Seminars to all of the power utilities and their customers in the region. Total solution consulting for power quality incl. site studies and recommending product solutions and/or electrical installation changes. Product lines incl. power conditioners, telephone line protection, and UPS.
