Prior to the Commission, John was a Partner at Avialex Law Group, LLP where he represented a wide spectrum of clients in commercial and business transactions, litigation and regulatory compliance. Clients include startups, land developers, insurance carriers, airlines, aircraft charter and management companies, original equipment manufacturers, certificate holders and high net-worth individuals. John is a highly active member of his local community. John is V.P. of the Emery Unified School Board of Trustees and is an executive committee member and programming co-chair for the International Law and Immigration Section of the California Law Association. Previously, John was committee chair of the Emeryville Parcel Tax Committee, trustee on the Board of Directors for the Oakland Aviation Museum and the Western-Pacific Regional Vice President of the International Air & Transportation Safety Bar Association (previously the National Transportation Safety Board Bar Association). John received the NBAA’s 2019 Top 40 Under 40 Award in business management, SuperLawyers' 2020 "Rising Star" for Northern California and was awarded AVVO's "Top Rated Lawyer".
