SEO is more than just a job to me; it's my passion. I love engaging with the search community and staying on top of the latest trends.I've been making websites since I was in the 8th grade, and was "blogging" well before it was referred to as such. Fancy content management systems like Wordpress didn't exist at the time; I used Greymatter's "Newspro". This gave me a unique background in content creation and management. It was 1998, and I knew nothing of SEO. My personal website URL was mentioned on the radio. I suddenly found myself dealing with increasingly large amounts of traffic, ultimately crashing the server on which the site resided. Out of necessity I learned about analytics software (extreme-dm.com was the best available at the time) and log files, so that I could determine where my visitors were coming from, which files were being accessed most frequently, and how I could use this information to my advantage. As a teenager, whenever I found a website with an interesting design, I'd read the source code to figure out how it was built. I frequently printed the HTML to read when I wasn't at a PC. Needless to say, I spent a significant amount of my adolescence in front of the computer, but I've found that as a result I am very resourceful and have a good general background in most areas of the web.I received a bachelors in fine arts and entered the workforce as a web designer. Through an interesting chain of events I found myself immersed in the SEO industry. I have a strong background in graphic design, and find myself utilizing those skills somewhat regularly, but my true "honed" skills are in the search realm.I take pride in my work and my ability to achieve results while utilizing ethical (white hat) practices.I'm always looking for a challenge, both in the workplace and otherwise. If you have a project that you think I might be interested in, don't hesitate to reach out!
