I presented at Road Sense's Mascot Traffic Offender Intervention Program to people referred by the Road and Maritime Service (RMS), the Courts or their Solicitors or their own initiative usually as the result of repeated or serious traffic offending. My role was to provide an insight as to what the court process involve and what a typical court appearance is like so that program participants are better equipped when it comes time to go to Court. I help them prepare themselves for the type of submissions that Magistrates are looking for and what are the behaviours in their conduct that influences the Courts decision in providing heavier or more lenient outcomes. Road Sense is an amazing program that helps provide safer drivers across the country. I am fortunate to play only a small part in this program that hopefully one day can be better integrated into society before offenders commit offences. Find out more: https://roadsense.org.au
