I loved growing up on a farm in Coon Rapids, Iowa with my 8 siblings. I was going to farm the rest of my life with my dad until just three days before school started at Northwest Missouri State University. That day forever changed the direction in which I would explore my entrepreneurial life.(that's a long story, but very interesting...)One of favorite life quotes is simple, "Live with Passion". Life's too short to not love everything about you and the world around you. I know that there are things out of our control, but we do have control about how we let these things affect our lives. My biggest accomplishment, outside of my three daughters, is my sobriety since I was 21.(another interesting story)My most important asset is my relationships. People say, "you know everyone!" Although that is not exactly true, it is true that I take a sincere interest in those I'm fortunate enough to meet, work with/for and I consider all of these folks friends. Over the past 30+ years, I've started, purchased and/or sold over 26 businesses in 14 various industries. These range from farming to the bar business, from pest control to carpet cleaning. I've built condo projects and I've done land development projects. Perhaps my most widely known venture was AmeriSpec Home Inspections, which we built into one of the largest companies in the Nation. One of my most recent ventures is buying all of the Beauty First stores. Not all my ventures were successful, there were a couple of attempts that didn't yield the desired results, but they all provided extremely valuable lessons, most that money can't buy. It's all of this that I bring to everything I do. I love helping others see what's possible. Venture Out allows me to bring all my experiences together along with my relationships, my commitment to others and my hard work ethic to provide clients an experience I hope they'll appreciate.
