Now retired.I am regarded within GSK as a key talent and world-class expert in light and electron microscopy. I am also skilled in the application of many associated specimen preparation and analytical techniques.I provide practical technical support, advice, mentoring and training to scientists from all areas of GSK's business, including chemical/pharmaceutical and biological R&D, manufacturing support, post-market product support and intellectual property and anti-counterfeiting support.I manage a core microscopy facility within GSK R&D, and liaise extensively with a diverse customer base.I am at my best applying my knowledge, technical skills and experience to practical problems, and when developing innovative approaches to address novel or problematic areas of investigations where microscopy can add value.I have always been facinated by the microscopical world and have been very privileged to work in this field. I am leaving GSK to look for fresh opportunities and challenges and would welcome the chance to continue my involvement in microscopy, perhaps on a part-time or short-term contract basis.
