I have extensive skills and experience from many years of applying microscopical techniques to support research and to address manufacturing and post-market problems in pharmaceutical R&D. I am technically skilled in light and electron microscopy, especially scanning electron microscopy and related techniques, including EDX and cryo. I am also experienced in Raman microscopy and X-ray microtomography, and confocal laser scanning microscopy and image analysis. I am responsible for managing a central facility as well as providing expert technical support, user training and advice to GSK customers worldwide, and supervising IP and PhD students. I have extensive experience of both materials and biological applications of microscopy.
