Leadership - Manage resources across the Americas Region for a leading independent research and consultancy business serving the global metals, mining, fertilizer, and chemical industries. I consolidated multiple US offices, led the integration of acquisitions, and significantly increased growth/staffing over the past several years.M&A - Participated in several due diligence exercises which have resulted in three acquisitions based in different areas of the US. I led the integration of those operations, aligned processes and systems, as well as the most important aspect which is assimilation of their teams.Business Growth - Have achieved ~125% total sales increase across the region over the past five years. This comes via improved renewal rates (client retention), higher volume of new sales (additional channels), and expanded market leadership (hiring/developing expertise).Marketing - Improved CRU’s market presence across the region by attending and speaking at conferences, developing key client relations, and improving the strategic focus of the regional resources.

Leadership - Responsible for supply chain of nuclear plant equipment from domestic and international suppliers. Largest and most complex negotiation was for Containment Vessels, in which the final contract was with a team comprised of a Japanese steel fabricator, Italian engineering firm, and US constructor. I led the negotiations a three-project deal which had a total contract value of $450 Million. Supply Chain - Selected to build a center-led Supply Chain strategy organization. Designed the organizational structure, identified key attributes and resource requirements, and conceptualized the operational model. Led this multi-disciplinary team through global reorganization to manage a stage-gate process for Vertical Integration, Make/Buy Decisions, Joint Ventures, Strategic Alliances, Risk Management, and Market Intelligence. Market Intelligence - Built a Market Intelligence platform to empower the organization with actionable intelligence. Focused on material volatility, geo-political issues, regulatory and legislative impacts, currency, and competitive dynamics. Subsequent contract negotiations in 2008 and 2009 resulted in over $70M of combined cost savings and cost avoidance for the company.

Start-Up Leadership - Hand-picked for a coveted opportunity to help build a supply chain operations group for a “start-up business” within Intel to enter the medical device industry. This business ultimately was ‘spun-off’ as a joint venture with GE Medical and named Care Innovations.Process Improvement - Led a matrixed team of 11 professionals to design policies and procedures for supply chain operations to support taking new products to this global market; qualifying new suppliers, performing supplier quality audits, writing operating procedures, and validating regulatory controls.Global - Designed the global supply chain to support product development and clinical trials. This included engineering in India, manufacturing in Mexico, and regional installers and logistics to support initial trials in the UK and US. Implemented sourcing strategies to ensure a competitive supply base to support Intel’s aggressive growth international roadmap.

Responsible for all major projects on 6 different sites, which required coordination between manufacturing, project controls, procurement, and construction. Developed a global Competitive Intelligence platform, and used it to develop strategy to attenuate material cost variation, which saved over $4.5M for the Arizona Fab32 facility.

Accomplished all operational and commercial aspects for the services contracts on a $3B manufacturing fabrication facility construction project; generated RFP’s, developed quality program, negotiated contracts, managed performance, controlled budget, and drove process improvements.

Supervised construction and commissioning of control systems for a greenfield semiconductor factory construction project. The facility earned "Top Fab of the Year" in 1999 due to the sophistication of the project schedule resulting in the shortest First-Concrete to First-Silicon in history.

Managed a power plant construction project; including monitoring schedule performance, tracking design revisions, managing supplier adherence to specifications, and responsible for startup and equipment commissioning oversight. Supervised operations of the emissions control systems, and was liaison to the Department of Environmental Quality.

Designed control systems, led field teams in testing and modifications, and performed ISO quality validations.

Operated and maintained nuclear plants on-board a Guided Missile Cruiser with ‘Secret’ security clearance.
