I am a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP who represents public accommodations, employers, and housing providers in civil rights litigation throughout the United States. As a member of Seyfarth’s ADA Title III team, I focus my practice on disability access issues. I have extensive experience in single plaintiff and class action litigation involving architectural barriers, website accessibility, effective communication, service animals, and other issues arising under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fair Housing Act (FHA), as well as state and local disability access laws. I have represented a wide range of Fortune 500 companies, including major hotel chains, big box retailers, movie theatres, restaurants, automobile manufacturers, landlords, cooperative and condominium boards, and financial service providers in these matters. I practice in federal and state courts, as well as in agency proceedings before the United States Department of Justice, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New York State Division of Human Rights, and New York City Commission on Human Rights.As a frequent speaker and author on cutting-edge issues in disability law, my work has appeared in publications such as Law 360, Real Estate Weekly, Habitat, and the ADA Title III Blog. I have also been quoted in the ABA Journal, Corporate Counsel, and the New York Observer. I also counsel clients on a wide range of employment issues, including reasonable accommodations, personnel handbooks and policies, employee discipline, leaves of absence, payment of wages, exemptions, and separation agreements. I am the former Chair of the Disability Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association, and dedicate my pro bono practice to helping veterans and 9/11 First Responders obtain government benefits.
