Managed the Software Development Team for the Cisco 7500 and parts of the Cisco 7600 product lines. My team was around 8-10 engineers. In this role my responsibilities were:o Selected and trained a software team in India and transferred all software development and sustaining work to this team which provided significant cost savings because at this time, the cost of an engineer in India was ¼ the cost of an engineer in the US. o Discovered a critical issue with one of the major 7500 hardware components that could potentially impact millions of dollars to the 7500 product line. I helped manage a small team which executed a plan to contain this risk. It is estimated that the results of this team saved ~$500 million dollars in potential lost revenue. o Project managed and deliver several new features on the 7500 and 7600o Significantly reduced the number of open code defects especially for the 7500 and maintained the 7500 revenue while reducing the cost of support
