Before retiring, John Wesley Nash had more than 45 years of experience in the television industry. His experience has been diverse, having held engineering and executive positions at call-letter stations, government agencies, equipment manufacturers, major networks and elite post production centers. He currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Communications Engineering, Inc., (CEI), one of the country’s leading broadcast system design and integration companies. John's responsibilities include corporate management and planning, project and client management, new technology investigation and implementation, system design and execution, vendor relations, and workforce management.Before joining CEI, Mr. Nash held the position of Director of Engineering for Groupe André Perry, Ltd. and was responsible for designing and supervising the construction of the Groupe André Perry's Washington, D.C. facility.Specialties: John inherited his love for all things nautical from his father while growing up on the Chesapeake Bay. Today he lives in Fort Myers Beach, FL, cruising and fishing the Gulf of Mexico with his wife Kathy on their Scout 260LXF vessel. He holds a USCG 50-Ton Masters License with Assistance Towing endorsement. He is an long time active member of the Chesapeake Area Professional Captains Association (CAPCA), currenty as the liaison between CAPCA and The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC).John and his wife are still active members of Annapolis Yacht Club (AYC), and Annapolis Sail and Power Squadron (ASPS), where he currently serves as Past Commander, Executive Committee, Vessel Safety Examiner, IT Chair/Webmaster and Certified Instructor. In Fort Myers Beach, John serves on the Fort Myers Beach Anchorage Advisory Committee (AAC), and on the Board of Directors of Friends of Lovers Key. (FOLK).
