-Automate Production Floor (Electromechanical Solutions, Software UI)-Designing PCB layouts and prototypes-Designing and implementing UI software and programs-CAD of mechanical parts and assemblies

I was tasked with designing and building the next generation of assembly line equipment from the ground up. The objective of the project was to design and build a fully functioning LCD optical bonding machine used to bond glass displays to computer and electronic LCD/LED panels. While under the guidance of executives and director level management, and with the assistance of a small team of employees/interns, we managed the design and implement the new machine. These solutions involved the following:- Design the basic frame and machine platform and arrange for its fabrication- Design, fabricate and assemble the X-Y transport mechanism and servo drives for the two dispensing needles- Find and obtain a used SCARA robot for cover glass placement; and work with another intern on the integration and programming- Choose and obtain a conveyor transport system- Evaluate and test the UV exposure system- Work with another intern on the design and fabrication of the electrical control cabinet.- Work with the other intern on programming a PLC- Design the pneumatic controls and assemble the resin dispensing system- Perform much of the assembly of all components- Begin operational testing and debugging of all systems
